Q: A Graphics Card A Processor or RAM? any suggestions would be great = ) ( Im playing Flight Sim X and im only getting aroung 20fps sometimes less )
A: basically its a combination of everything.as for fsx its very PU intensive compared to it being GPU.i only use 242MB of VRAM with everything set to max (yes that includes everything.).but when i look at how much it uses of my CPU,it is at 100% and i have a quad-core.now with everything set to the highest settings i get 6-7 FPS in chicago.now with everything set to the highest except the cars,airport traffic,and light bloom,i get 20-25. now if you install World of AI i have noticed a considerable jump in performance.Please note this was on my older rig and i have yet to configure FSX due to playing The Witcher.i could have everything set to medium high to high AI aircraft to 100%,and car traffic to 30% and Airport traffic to medium,and i would get about 30-35 FPS.and that was on my older rig which was a: 256MB XFX 8600GT 2GB RAM AMD 4800+ Dual-Core Processor 320GB HDD XP and like i said i haven't tested out the performance yet with WOAI,nor UT2007 (which i had on my older system which gave me good results) due to the fact of having to reinstall windows and being to lazy to reinstall those programs right now. by the way my new specs are: 512MB XFX 9800GTX 4GB RAM Intel's Q6600 Quad-Core Processor 320GB HDD XP
