Q: Alright, I just reformatted my computer and now none of my video games work anymore. I asked around and someone suggested an outdated graphics/video card, so I tried to check what graphics card I have. I have tried the following: 1. Start>Run>dxdiag>Display Tab [Results: It doesn't detect a video card] 2. Start>Rus>msinfo32>Components>Display [Results: It doesn't detect a video card] 3. Installed GPU-Z to detect [Results: "Error: Unknown Architecture"] [I'm running Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2] HELP. Can someone clear it up if they understand? I tried doing what blakcshadow said to, but it doesn't say Display Adapters. I tried the NVidia site: Results: The NVIDIA Smart Scan was unable to evaluate your system hardware. Please use Option 1 to manually find drivers for your NVIDIA products. As for the ATI site, the problem is that I'm trying to figure out what Video card I have. I'm running Windows XP Professional on a Dell Optiples GX620 Pentium D. Ok, I just went to Control Panel>System>Hardware Tab>Device Manager>Other Devices>Video Controller (VGA Compatible) and double clicked. It came up with some stuff and I think I've narrowed down my card. It's either: ATI Radeon X300/X550/X1050 Series or ATI Radeon X600 Ok, turns out I have both. For some reason the hardware didn't get installed when i reformatted or something like that. Thanks everyone for your time.
A: Try going to Start>Control Panel>System>Hardware (tab)>Device Manager>Display Adapters
