Q: happens both on and off the web. windows + office xp
A: i think you have some problem with your usb port.. u can take a look at the usb configurations in the control panel.. or else mostly there will be some virus that is spreading from pen drives.. if ur system is giving other problems too then it is better u go for system formatting and start everything freshly... and when formatting go for xp service pack 2 and not 3 as service pack 3 has some problems...hope this helps you... and one more thing i also came across some systems with the same problem .. they also used to heat up the device connected and damage them.. so be careful and make sure u dont destroy any of ur gadgets..
