I'll bet no one knows this.?

Q: I am running Windows Vista on a pc that I built myself, and when I built it I installed a dvd writer. It worked fine for months, but the problem I have now is that when I put a cd or dvd into the drive and right click a box pops up that says "Prepare this blank disc", but I know for a fact that the disc is not blank because it can be read by my sisters computer ( She's running Xp.) Some of the discs I have are data discs that I burnt myself, but one of them that it won't read is the Nero Burning Rom cd that came with the dvd writer, and this is bizarre because I used this cd when I originally installed the drive and Windows had no problem reading it. ( My sister's pc can read it so I know it was not erased by a magnet.) Thank you everyone I solved the problem by uninstalling the drive in the device manager and letting it re-install itself when I started my pc. Go figure.

A: That means the CD is not closed when you burned to it so you can add more data to it when you burn CD on Nero check the little box close session then click burn.same goes when you use Roxio software.
