Graphics card for a Gateway Gt 5428?

Q: i have recently bought a Gateway 5428 for gaming purposes. The only thing that needs installing is windows xp (already have) some more memory because it only comes with 1gb (installed 2gb) and i also need a new graphics card but i cant find a site that will help me choose the best video card. I need some help with this. And also i dont realy know what supports this computer for the type of graphics card i may need. If anyone knows what to look for i would appreciate it.

A: Well, according to reviews it has a PCI-Express slot for a video card. If your budget is $100, then a Geforce 8600GTS is your best choice. If your budget goes $30 higher, grab the more powerful GeForce 8800GT. The Radeon 4850 is the best card around $200 but it's probably overkill for your system. Anyway, heres' the latest list of top gaming video cards from Tom's Hardware: No matter which card you buy- always get the GDDR3 version. GDDR2 video cards are much slower.
