Q: i bought a Toshiba External 320GB Hard Drive because i need to take some music folders to the studio ASAP and my pc does not even recognize it. It works via usb, i connect it and it won't be recognized. The blue light on the hard drive is lit, but that is all. Does it need a cd to install the driver or what? HELP! SMOOCH!!!! Loose usb connector on my pc!!!!
A: If you're connecting that to the front panel USB ports, try a USB port of the back of the PC. (I'm assuming a desktop PC here. You didn't say.) The front panel ports sometimes lack the proper power for something like a large external USB drive. Also, it the drive has a jack for external power, use it if you can.
