How do I get my webcam (logitec) to display still pictures or video?

Q: I want to show my friends vido clips and pics over my webcam. I have seen others do it but don't know how.

A: hi ian as allready mentioned some webcams will just run moving clips,however some can also take still pictures and the webcams display control panel will allow you to change and edit this some programs will have links indicating still pictures however most modern webcams will have a button on the top or side which will enable you to take a single shot picture however to show friends video clips and pictures you would find it easier to send a e-mail attachement with the video clip or j-peg and allthough some video files(mov,mpeg,avi) can be pretty large these can be compressed using software such as "movie shrink and burn"(http://www2.ashampoo.com/webcache/html/1/product_2_0137__.htm) infact the windows "movie maker" allows you to compress megs and other recognized files and even if the file is to large to send via attachment you could also a) send the files in seperate attachments by using a programs that can split the file b)send to a secure online storage site such as "bt vault" and then allow your friends to download the movie or pictures from there webcams are designed for live pictures and online conferences,and dont have much of a internal memory any problems let me know good luck ian !
