Q: Long story short, I reformatted my HDD and now I cant burn DVD's because I don't have the drivers. I have searched everywhere and cant find it/them. Its ATAPI DVD A DH16A1L. I searched the ATAPI site and they said that I should have the drivers preinstalled and I don't need to download them... so they don't think/care if you have to reformat. Anyone know what to do? So I can use Nero and it will have the proper drivers for my internal DVD drive? How would I go about updating the firmware? I cant get the driver cause atapi told me no.
A: In the device manager, right click the drive and choose properties. If the device is not working choose update driver. If it is working, do the same thing with the IDE/ATAPI controller.
