Q: right im going to buy a http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/3514277/PNY-Geforce-8800GT-512MB-DDR3-PCI-Express-x16-Graphics-Card/Product.html and i have this computer http://support.packardbell.com/uk/item/index.php?i=spec_motherboard_reno&ppn=PB80117101 will this graphics card work in my pc and also if you look at the description of my computer it says i have 1 pci x16 and 2 pci when they say i have 2 pci does that mean a pci 2.0 graphics card will work in my computer aswell how do i find out how much power my computer has then do i just have to take off the case and look on the sticker on the power suply ?
A: Yes, that Nvidia graphics card will fit in your computer. The card uses a PCI Express x16 connector, and your computer has one of those slots. The other 2 "PCI" slots in your computer would not fit that graphics card. Those slots are for adding other expansion cards, (with PCI connector, not PCI Express x16) such as extra USB or Firewire ports, or wireless network adapter, etc. Lastly, I can't tell from the computer specifications, but look to make sure your power supply is strong. At least 300 to 350 Watts or more to be sure you can run any add on video card.
