i have a question about a video card im looking at?

Q: im looking at this http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3041060 and i was reading the specs and it says GDDR3 i know for a fact my computer has DDR ram. does that mean anything?? if it does can i have a suggestion on a different GFX card around the same price and specs?? THANKS!!

A: I believe that the type of RAM your computer uses and the type of ram inside of your video card do not need to match in any way. For compatibility your --card type-- and --slot type-- should match. Otherwise you should be fine. Just make sure that you have a PCI Express slot that matches the card (thats the type listed on the page).
