Q: Ok im thinking of buyign a 9800 gtx or ati 4870 but im using one pci slot would this be a problem? do these cards required all that space? I do have pci-e slot but i was wonderring if it will be a problem since im using one of the pci slots next to pci-e? ( Less space)
A: whoa man, check to see if you have the right pci slot. Let me see if I can list them. There are pci, pci express 1.0, pci express x8.0, pci express x16, pci express x16 2.0. I might not have listed those right exactly, but I know for sure that there are pci exp x16, and pci exp x16 2.0. I'm pretty sure that the 9800 gtx is pci ex x16 2.0. Make sure you have the right slots for the right cards. Also, high end video cards will take a lot of wattage compared to not as good video cards. Make sure you have enough power supply. I think the 9800 gtx is pretty good.
