Q: When I open sites that has a lot of pictures and videos (like www.cuteoverload.com), the memory usage on the system monitor spikes to 98-99% and makes everything slow until I close the site. It didn't do this when I had my older computer which was not as powerful. How can I fix this problem? Can I just upgrade my memory? I have a Dell Vostro Slim 200 Intel Core 2 Duo, E4500 @2.2GHz, 1.18GHz, 0.99GB of RAM.
A: 1GB of RAM is not good enough You have a Core 2 Duo CPU, that means its 2 CPU. It deserve nothing less than 2GB of RAM Add another 1GB and your life would be much easier BTW, you don't have graphic card right? That means some of your RAM is used by the on board graphic. Makes things worse because it will reserver part of your RAM for graphic Your old PC have a graphic card? Doesn matter how old a graphic card is, as long as you got one, it won;t use any system RAM for graphics
