Q: I want to install a case fan on the side of my pc since I don't have any holes on the front or back. I bought a Zalman 120mm fan. Which way should I face the front of the fan? Everyone I've asked so far comes up with a different answer.
A: I can tell why you got different answers. You can face the fan inwards but it s just going to push the hot air and not do anything. If you face it inward you need a hole to pump the hot air out as the cool air replaces it. You can face it outward, which I do, and it pumps the hot air out.
