Q: i have an old custom built desktop. It actually is a pretty good pc for what i need it for, except that is only has a 40g hd. i want to upgrade to a new hd, but not lose whats on my old hd. How do i do that? basically transfer everything from the old onto the new hd?
A: Plug the second hard drive into the computer with new cables attached to the motherboard. Windows should detect both, then transfer all the files.
