Q: do you think the 512mb on the 4850 if in crossfire with a second, or would two other cards with 1Gb each, say Geforce 8800's, have an advantage with the extra ram in a game like crysis? In other words, does the 4850 not have enough ram for how fast it is, or are some 8800's loaded with more than they need?
A: The memory in the video card is much less important than many other specs in the video card, such as the core clock. Therefore, the HD4850 is still better, even though it has less memory.
