Q: I'm in the process of organizing and saving all my digital pictures and small video clips from my HD to an External HD. Now, for additional storage proctection, I wish to save them to CDs/DVDs. I'm not sure which is better, so is it redundant to save to both Cds and DVDs? If so, which is the preferred media storage device?
A: Not redundant at all. You should always have back-up. You're doing what I encourage everyone to do.
