Q: Ok, I had to buy a new computer because my old one shot craps ... the computer stoer put all of my old music photos etc on to an external hard drive... super link cosmos usb 2.0 5.25... stellar deal! However, it is only capable up to windows XP... and guess what?? the new computer has vista.... so I've looked all over the internet and can't find a driver to be able to add the harddrive to be able to access anything on it... please help if you know of anything that would help with this. The computer acknowledges the drive is there, but can't open anything do to no driver being installed. Please help if you know of anyway to fix this problem. there is no website listed on any of the info that came with the thing.
A: If you got the external the same place you got the new computer,I'd take the external back and tell the idiots at the computer store to give you one that works with vista.They should've known it wouldn't work with vista,that's probably why you got the stellar deal.
