Anyone now where to buy this RAM cheap?

Q: Anyone know where to get this ram cheap, ddr-333 or PC-2700 (184 pins), i have looked and it is like 50 bucks for 512mb or a 1GB and up in price from there. How come the ddr2 is cheaper? I have found it for like 25 bucks for 1GB. This is kind a nuisance because i cant use any ddr2 RAM, only ddr-333 or PC-2700 (184 pins). Thanx for any help given.

A: I would go to www.crucial.com and let their program scan your system it will tell you what memory you have and what memory you can upgrade to (max speed and max size) and if they have it they will guarantee the compatibilty with your system. As ram evolves it is expensive at 1st then gets cheap. The DDR3 is a little high now and DDR2 is dirt cheap. But DDR and SDRAM is fading out and is a little on the expensive side. As the new ram comes out say like DDR4 or if they rename it something different then DDR3 will be cheap DDR2 will start going up and DDR/SDRAM will probably go up as well. I found 2*1gb sticks of DDR PC3200 (400mhz) they are backward compatible on Ebay for $ 35 for both and they work great. They are dual channel and name branded. They have people on Ebay selling what is call high density memory for cheap I have used them and they work alright not complaints but they said the high density will not work on all boards. Thanks Try this ebay # 250262812001 it is 512mb pc2700 (64*64) meaning low*density (good) you do not want high density memory and it is only $25.50 for 2 *512mb sticks shipping and all.
