Q: I hooked up an external hard drive via USB port, and my PC computer made beep and said it found my hardware. I also attempted to install the hardware, and the computer said it was installed properly and is working. I then rebooted my computer with the hard drive still attached via USB. But I still can't find my external hard drive when I look in My Computer. Any suggestions? This is my friend's hard drive which he uses on his Apple... my computer is a PC. Not sure if this makes any difference.
A: Your friend on his mac can reformat it to be readable by both windows and mac's he can also probably save any data store on it before this format. He current has it in Mac OS Extended Journaled format which windows is unable to read. He need to use disk utility found in applications/utilities
